Scott is an assistant research scientist at The University of Iowa Institute for Vision Research, where he co-leads the Retinal Imaging and Modeling Laboratory (https://www.rimlab.org). His professional interests include computational and statistical models of retinal degeneration, molecular genetics of inherited eye diseases, R package development, and data visualization. He's a life-long amateur naturalist and enjoys opportunities for science education and public outreach.
