A graduate of the Bronx High School of Science, Columbia, and Harvard, Dr. Sebag is considered a world-leading authority on vitreous [https://www.VMRinstitute.com/].      As of 2022, he has authored 242 academic publications on various aspects of vitreo-retinal health and disease. Formerly a fellow of the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation and currently a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK), Dr. Sebag has delivered 68 named and invited lectures throughout the world, including the 2019 Inaugural Robert Machemer Keynote lecture to the European Society of Ophthalmology [www.VMRinstitute.com/video-library/].             In 2006, Dr. Sebag was inducted as a member of the venerable and prestigious American Ophthalmological Society, chairing the program committee in 2016. In 2010, Dr. Sebag was selected as a Fellow of ARVO, the world’s premier eye research organization. He has received more than 2 dozen awards from national and international organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology who accorded Dr. Sebag the Senior Career Achievement Award in 2018.
